i read it all that way
backwards
from th leap of faith unto the unknown decade
the marvelous teens.
pre-twenties if ya don't mind
like only 100 years ago was a gilded age
of wealthy vagabonds floating about
and now we earthbound types circumnavigate
and remember perambulations
is there ever any hope for character development
of the planet?
no real decisions to make save knowing we are better than this
and learning how to get by on a breath
of air

"Jam's about my pride and truth I cannot hide
To keep you satisfied.
True love that now exist is the love I can't resist,
So jam by my side. " By Bob Marley
Let's keep on word jammin'
Word jammin'
Let my words say it to you...
Word jammin'
Word jammin'
Say it when we need to get through...

i remember it
like yesterday
Action Poetry was hammer down in the show off lane
Poets were driving V-8 Macks with Georgia overdrives
It was 1999 and I was happy to have found a niche on the super highway
A place I could get high with a little help
"from a small circle of friends" Phil Ochs
The action GO's on

Yes, dems were de days...let's jam like it 1999,
We be feelin fine, download dat dime,
Start de upward climb--
Yes, its de days of yesteryear when
De dime would still get you a gumball...
Sometime even a couple of mints...
So let's pretend that the trade towers
Are still standin in our minds eye...
Maybe in some fifth dimension they are...
While poets drive de souped cams...

"From where I sit"
the universe is just fine"
I am going to get a poetic license
practice what I preach
extend my reach
eat a lot of peaches
limp when I can't fly
I'll get by
"like a pear onion on a banana split"
