curly, larry and moe
had great influence on my early years
being it was their fine influence
that stimulated four p.m. violence
my brother loved their style
and i grew to appreciate the nuances

what could i do but take notes
and grow impermeable to eye pokes
and pushes that slid me from wall to wall

so sapphire caves had to wait
till brother mine discovered Spielberg
and the joys of a quick swim with a shark

they made me cry when I was a kid
it is an aquired taste I suppose
takes a mature mind to appreciate

i gotta bro like that
useta be. he'd start out
with a sly "let me show you
this new wrestling hold." then
before ya knew it i was locked in
the bathroom or uppa tree but that's
really where i'm more at home as you
know. last time they told me it was almost
time to die (i didn't believe it, being eternal and
all) my brother was pretty freaked and emailed this
doctor dude at USC who knew a lot about cancer of the
pancreas and wielded a mighty sharp knife i must say but
when he dug deep into my plumbing all he found was a miracle!

I do stoogy stuff
at work enough to
press the edge
but usually have to be drawn out
or spontaneous.

lazer knifes
don't cut it when compared with
luck.

yeah
we called it that
simpler to believe in
than bliss

But let's cut to the core now with
open heart double bypass precision

only a fool would not believe what he sees
and me running for president of idiocy
believing in the unseen ever-present

95% chance that I will not get out
of this alive, and me willing
to give it 110%

If you haven't felt a miracle
you're half dead anyway i'd say

so give her a hug and see
what happens. which decision
is the anaesthetic and which
the incision?

the stooges scared me
it was different back then in the forties
in big dark movie theatre watching
when one hit the other with a sledge hammer
I was really scared
maybe because I had so much violence in me

I blew my mind on mescaline and statistics one semester
my last one

I have a brother a doctor who had his heart attack making rounds
They talked about the numbers and he did not like the odds
took a pass on the surgery but that was just in his case

truth what is truth the man said
if I understood that last college course I took
in this world all we got is probabilities

95 percent is just a number

you sound lucky

Incisions, incisions.
Heck, I got a river line
up my left side
as long as the nile.
(Grunt).

Ol kidney,
left the premises
one day
tumor and all,
tenderly cured me,
for now.
(Ho hum).

Some say it's a scar,
ooo, ugly, how horrid,
botox it, lift it,
laser it off
get rid of it.
No man will want
to make love to you!
(harumphhhhhhhhhfttttttt!)

I say,
imbeciles, all of them!

Why,
I have
curious river licks
to offer, and
naked finger
charter trips,
over mysterious,
new healed-skin,
to navigate,
not to mention,
other,
wide eyed wows.
(Miracles!).

reeking of
cat piss
and incense,
asking for some
dead to spread
and pachouli

to avoid the

why
i'd love to compare scars
and statistics and unused
body parts

miracle is
i didn't need 8 inches
of small intestine anyway
gall bladder? poof
it only makes you sadder
stores bile and then you know
you become bilious like perezoso

miracle is
they put the parts
back together much better than
all the king's horses and all the king's men
did with humpty dumpty
(another statistic of the 15%
mortality rate that dies from the cure)

but body parts aside
i see a shining in your solar plexus
who needs a love making imbecile
when there's poetic nexus?

I send you a smile
that bounces back

two frowns down

i kiss your naked astral feet
and rub your scar with spikenard
more pungent than myrr and frankincense
brought by the first two not so wise men

you sound lucky
Homeboy did just pass on the surgery, he turned his life style around, a fanatic on diet precise controll of every spec of fat, he thinks nothing of walking six miles, at least three or four miles five days a week, I mean he made a quest out of staying alive, and he had Diamon Lil, his partner to help him, nurse practioner gourmet cook. and of course he threw away a thousand dollars worth of pipes and cigars.

Having gathered a fine, indeed

barring any and all acts

stuff it
on the
