(thanks, jack for reminding me of all those haiku written on retreat and published when i was reunited with technology. That was a great retreat. How I wanted to be on a summer retreat this summer. Maybe soon?)

heat melted morning
distant drones on air patrol
caffeine-fueled courage

though not my party
first day of school restlessness
permeates my mask

oatmeal n fresh peaches
cardiac rehab
just another tuesday

morning choir
birds sang the first chorus
now the insects

can it be much longer
before sleet's percussion?

gratitude moment
thank you all powers that be
for one more day off

even that neighbour
everyone needs attention
in this together

a good day's effort
energy transformation
from hopeless to joy

tiny little babe
transformation to rascal
one year’s adventure

a bow and arrow
zen archery for parents
something to aim for

teacher at night school
dreamer during the day
morning confusion

small quiet footsteps
agreement to meet the day
body, breath and mind
