chilly air on face
breakfast date great blue heron
what a flirt she was

undeniable
autumn month on calendar
six minutes more sleep

firepit for seven
circle around dancing flames
laughter intoxicating

this moment's song
ceiling fan and potential
morning excitement

date ripens
date palm releases
and the world sweetens

three days of darkness

laughter from neighbours
echoes from stark kibbutz walls
night shifts to morning

fuzzy head this morn
balance off but so grateful
I'm typing these words

bustling dream sessions
all the signs and portents
await synthesis

as days roll on
i'm flavoured and altered
with the barest hue
