Doves-hummingbirds
Wings of many things

Owls on my mind
and that brown hummingbird in the b'more hood
a train horn at d'town station 8:10 pm.
darkness settles in
horn movin away to its nightly stay
where trains sleep

The southern hot winds are blowing
The skin feels so gentle in the new evening
All the old women are talking to the sky
All those things that make you wonder why why

Sirens and motorcycle in the distance
The fountain by the porch makes water sounds
Thirsty land
Painting in the heat outside
Almost understand now
More painting the soul cries

I was here on the porch
Wondering how about things

Sneezing sand
Wishing I could eat candy
And bread
Ice creams
Ya know

phoenixville
blues festival
all day the blues
demonstrated
it ain't about feelin' down
it's about escaping to the other side

Putting a painting at the art show
Bought a dress and new underwear
A woman has to "feel " the music
All over perfume and sultry sky

Rock and roll hoochie coo

I think I'll come back home
and put my thoughts and photos
right here on this site instead of
anywhere else.

I'm feeling overexposed on Facebook.
Gotta get out.

come back home doreen
you've been away too long
document your life here
with all your friends, this
ragtag bunch of obsessive
wordsmiths, word jonesers

woke up late today
but the coffee tasted even better
and the words were flowing
water over the dam, the damned
thing was, I felt an odd sense of dread
that one we all get like the coming
of a new day, and it's rarely anything of importance
it's just this cyclical reminder
not to get too comfortable
with our little space here on earth
or maybe it's a subtle reminder
to think of others, an overnight
reprogramming that highlights compassion
empathy, kindness, giving, tolerance
I don't know for sure, but these are the very words
that came into my head....a true jam
the jam without conscious thought
the jam from a long night's sleep

jam from the ether
vapors of your soul

long night's sleep
a rare gift
group embrace

sound pictures:
rain on the skylight...
crickets in the yard...
distant freight train...
neighbors' roosters...
children at play...
and what magic
