I guess she'll say she's spared her

spared her from the rain
from the soft clutches
and had withheld sound
saved from the unpleasantness
from sampling or provoking
or inadequacy or from the closeness
of the rose-bush.

I guess she'd no true expectancy of death

expect it'd allow certainty of thoughts
of a quick mind or humor
the existing impulsive emotions
the hunger within imagining
or dreams--dreams with enough oomph
it could replicate life itself.
