mingo, the wide open flower, more like those big beautiful sunflowers when they reach seven foot tall next to the whatever it is that can't shine next to it, full bloom, it's the picture of shaya the man in the sun.

If shaya starts to whistle, then spring will be glorious.

Spring showed up in a funny way the other day,
it came in in a white lofty hat.
We must wait for her to take her hat off
to see her flowery head.

I hope that's all she's wearing is a hat

Well, I don't know now that you mention it ... I usually don't begin that way with painting. I just get in front of the blank canvas or paintbox and wonder who or what I'm going to meet there when the time we have together is done. But maybe something will happen now that you've brought it up.

Got the kayaks out of the cellar today. brought them out into the sunshine. First time they've seen it since the beginning of November. Vacuumed them out, sucked up a few spiders in the process. Bet they weren't expecting that when they opened all eight of their eyes this morning. Washed them down ( the kayaks, not the spiders ) and we are going to try for a float tomorrow over on Sterling Creek if the weather holds. I hope it holds. It's still a bit on the cool side but not cold. Can't wait. Seems like it's been forever since i had a paddle in the water.

He went out hunting

now what gets better than that ? Well, I'm goin' up the creek today. We are creatures that can sit down which I find to be straightly amazing. Nothing like first time on the water after a winter has ended. Dry red wine you say ? Ain't that the way of the world ? Dry wines make me pucker so I stick to a sweeter line. Not sticky sweet just sweeter. Got a pack of fig newtons, the cameras are ready, the kayaks are loaded on top of the Cherokee. Just waiting for the sun to warm the air a bit & when it does this boy is a long gone daddy in the usa. Catch ya later, Doll.

You bet I did. & breathed & breathed & breathed ... aaahhh ... saw an eagle high up and a beaver low down & herons & turtles which surprised me sunning themselves up on their logs. Spring is just so ready to explode up here... was so good to be on the water again. Hoping to get out again next weekend. So what you doin' & what you been up to? Everything I hope.

I gots my new car,

I named her Cheryl.

Gonna pack up and head to D.C. today for the week.
Off to the museums and all the good stuffs
and to the Baltimore aquarium. etc.
