Last shot for now. We were heading inland toward Brownville. NO! wait! we were heading out of the canyon toward the Cherokee. Got mixed up.

I love when the river's so dark and then the layer of mystery of what's hidden down there. Especially tossed in with small town stories of unknown creatures that might lurk.

You're welcome Annie B. All the rivers are dark up here if they have any depth at all. Up in the mountains it's from iron in the rocks and in the soil. They are as dark as dark wine. Other places here it's from what the rivers carry out of the soil & sediments. Many of the rivers outside the mountains have long since been dammed up to within an inch of their lives and carry much sediment that roils & boils around. The only clear water comes up out of the ground in springs. Clear most of the time anyway. The rivers here being dark most of the time make me think they have flowed through all the souls of humanity on their way to the sea.

What a river picks up, drops off and keeps moving...keeps it moving, too.
I went for a nature walk yesterday and something unseen bit me, left two tiny fang marks that kinda made a two bubbles and left behind a tiny dark sliver like thing in each of the two. I wonder what got me. River gives that. Takes us away, yay that.

Dream last night.
My friend is ill and recovering, she's my sister spirit. Last night's dream self walked to her carrying a small blue balloon. I was still in my sleep outfit there, ha ha and it was an outfit I've not slept in in a very long amount of years. There I was walking the dark streets in it.

I stopped by a known person's and laughed saying, "Hey, you were out walking in your jama's too one night." She invited me into her house, but I only went to the opened door and declined visiting, for I had to quickly deliver that balloon. Woke up knowing the balloon was a prayer.

Maybe I'll start dating.
Kinda scared to go meet people I don't already know. But, I'm tired of only staying in or going with the girls.

I've never dated before. Not sure how to start.

I got the boot from catfish again the other day. I think if I'm in presence, then he doesn't get much presence from other women or sumpin' along those lines. Mostly he is looking for a younger twenties and my glaring does nothing for the atmosphere.

Do you think Jack would like to go on a date, not that he hangs around anymore much, but preferably Jack or an older gentleman professor down at the college. I saw one there once who must have been fifteen feet tall. The girls were joking about how to climb a guy who's ladder, ya know.

"sister spirit" - now there's a phrase. So you are wearing something from the past to carry a prayer to an ill but recovering "sister spirit". Walking dark streets in a sleeping outfit. And not even an invitation from someone you knew could turn you aside from your errand. You stopped at the open door ...
so I have only one question - just how long have you been walking around in that old sleeping outfit ?
Carrying a prayer for yourself in a blue balloon ? Could be your "sister spirit" is actually in good health and was inviting someone who was ill but on the road to recovery in to share some of that health with. Perhaps this someone "invited in" is a bit obstinate with good deeds ? Perhaps this someone "invited in" has outgrown her old clothes without knowing it. Perhaps this someone "invited in" is ready for something new, Ready to meet again. Ready maybe even for dating ?

Yeah, I'm like an old shirt to him and he's pretty tired. I went with him all over those old mountains, the creeks, down to where was dinner and he wants some rest, some quiet. It's tough to be casted off and feel for the unlucky guy. I mean, I feel for him being always with me on.

Anyway about learning to date, I just met this guy Steve out front. He saw me trying to mow that stubborn grass earlier and I gave up after half, then he just came over asking if he could finish it for me. He was really nice. So he mowed and I raked. First date out of the way, bingo bango, right?

See? nothin' to it.

I know, it was cake and he was sweet, plus I never ever let some guy come over and help me do something like that. So it was a huge step and first date jitters.

But mingo...I don't want him. QQ
