What caused this beauty?
A big bang? A supreme being?
Light flirting with a shadow dance?

Ahhhh yes, no matter why this is,
this is and when the ocean
becomes a canvas, watercolor
dreams seep into a morning sky
and sunrise beckons, proof
that there is really a good reason
to awaken and rise!

oh doreen, i'm so jealous of you! being from the coast but living in the valley has been hard for me...i'm glad i get to live vicariously through your photos! i hope your vacation was restful and rejuvenating! thanks for sharing your beautiful photos!

We can rent a cabin
on the shore, adore
the tide, surf the wave,
save seashells in a jar,
walk far into dawn's horizon,
our skin tan and aglow,
get to know each other
under a clear summer sky,
fly kites in the afternoon,
sip pina coladas under the moon!
