hi arcadia. it's a mixture of tocharian, greek, and proto indo european. i also tossed in a line from fellini's 8 1/2 (asa nisi masa.) nice hearing from you!

nino rota and fellini are sympatico. his music for nights of cabiria blew me away - especially the mambo sequence and the sad strains of seeking redemption - very spleeny. what a collaboration and merging of art forms into one totality of expression! though i'm a big fan of rota, the rota in the poem is not nino rota - it is just rota as in rotation or wheel.

me too. that's one of the reasons i wrote it.
i was reading about the dada movement and came across hugo ball's poem "karawane" and attempted something along those lines; i used a lexicon of tocharian, greek, and my own word constructs to design it. the meaning is inconsequential, or rather, it's inconsequentiality is the meaning.
