first we were dragons

Heart first,
I dove
into a welcoming fire
and ignited
the third last astral adventure
with you
soon
the smoke cleared
and our ashes rose again
breathing life;
our limbs
were star-crossed,
our bloodlines tangled
with
one another.

We are inseparable now.
