not a great day for bullfrogs

at the age of 70
walt whitman killed
with his bare hands
a great blue heron
at the edge of a marsh
outside of laural springs, new jersey
walt whitman then ate raw
portions of the great blue heron
the heron had been feeding
on fat bullfrogs
there were 5 bullfrogs
in the heron's belly
walt whitman ate those raw too
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
