Tonya, she don't know about haiku
she takes my blood
puts it in small tubes
talks the whole time she's doing it
says goodbye to me while smiling
and calls the next one waiting turn
day in day out this is how
it is for her
light conversation
& the taking of blood
to feed her family
to buy her house
all the way to keeping her children
in shoes
