Love hate relationships
Between haunted houses
and pumpkin spice.

Autumn in its full amazing grace
Greens, yellows and oranges
Amidst a blue backdrop sky.

Sadness with the withering flowers
Watching with glowing eyes
Realizing the sweetened harvest.

So many different smells
As September slowly passes
Thoughts of autumn arise.

It's official that autumn has come
Halloween in short display
Carmel apples and candy corn.

Leaves falling like softened snow
Beauty of the hearts change
Welcome emotions of October.

a season I seem to remember,
glowing embers from the fire's place,
a warm embrace, and hot cider...
or the other way around
just one more reason for living,
giving words to embellish emotion,
a harmonic potion, with a slice of pie...
