Illustrated Stories Image-ination Jam - Nov 11 -12

Post by Doreen Peri » November 10th, 2005, 9:00 pm

"My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot."
–Ashleigh Brilliant

You Are Invited
to "The First Illustrated Stories Image-ination Word Jam!"
(A Spontaneous Collaborative Illustrated Anthology)

When?
For 24 hours!
Friday November 11, 2005, 3PM EST (12 noon PST)
until - Saturday, November 12, 2005 3PM EST (12 noon PST)

What is It?
This is a collaborative experimental internet event
for writers, visual artists, photographers and others
who simply enjoy making up stories and reading stories,
whether written in verse or prose.

How Will it Work?
We will have multiple illustrated story threads being
written spontaneously & collaboratively.

You can name & start a story thread by posting an image
to the top of the thread. The first to reply will reply with
the beginning of a storyline inspired by the image.

Others will continue the story the first story writer started,
either in poetry or prose, whichever they prefer.
You can also add images to the threads
if the images pertain to the story being written
on that thread.

If you want to start a new story, you can start a
new thread and post an image to start a new thread
for that story.

Who?
You, who are a minstrel, a bard, a troubadour!
You, who are the keeper of events!
You, whose intent is to entertain or
be entertained by those who relay
yarns. You, who are narrators,
reporters, chroniclers of timeless lore!
You, who adore both image and word!
You, with legends and fables to share!

Why?
Because you are only limited by
the endless possibilities of your
image-ination! Because you cannot
afford to miss it! You wouldn't dare!

Where?
at Studio Eight dot TV

In the Image-ination Jam Session Forum

Create fables, plots, characters, suspense,
dynamic development and resolve.

Got Images?
Post your paintings, photography,
drawings, and digital art and words will flow,
inspired by your images.Tell your tales
inspired by the images of others!

3 P.M. EST is a little late for those of us on the other side of the Atlantic, though the U.K. offers a good starting point.

For me in Israel, it's 10 p.m.
for Anemone in Germany, ...is it 9 p.m.?

We might have to crank our way come early morn, but a-crankin we will come.

Maybe we can work on resetting the timing for the next one so it's more convenient for all. We're open for anything. ;) - It just has to start at a time that one of us is available to set it up.

I won't be able to participate myself until several hours after it starts.

Should be fun! Or chaos! or both!

Who knows what will happen? It's a first, that's for sure.

Experimental internet.

thank YOU, anemone...

I tried my best to use the red and black encyclopedias... I wanted to change the name of the book to Studio Eight and change encylopedia to "anthology" but my attempts were miserable failures so I chose this one. Thanks so much for your contribution!

(ps - love your cartooning post on the Jam! just got back... i've only clicked a couple so far and that was one of them... this will be fun!)
