"The Winter Holi-Dazed & EnLightened" Word Jam

Post by Doreen Peri » December 8th, 2005, 9:38 pm

Read about winter holidays throughout history
all around the world at Candlegrove.
This is an interesting and delightful site!
http://www.candlegrove.com/home.html
"Five thousand years of human history –
maybe more – have enfolded this season in rich garb –
many layers of celebration, folklore and tradition."

You Are Invited
to "The Winter Holi-Dazed & EnLightened" Word Jam

Who?
You who understand that hearts must be warmed in
bleak winter months, you who celebrate by sharing
the great light within you, you who enjoy decorating
the world with words from the flame of your heart.
It is a magic time of year!
Whether you celebrate the
winter Solstice, Sacaea, Saturnalia,
Yule, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza,
or another winter holiday or
even none at all –
If you celebrate Life,
you are invited.

When?
All weekend long!
Friday December 9, 2005 – 3PM EST (12 noon PST)
until - Sunday, December 11, 2005 – 3PM EST (12 noon PST)

Where?
at Studio Eight dot TV
http://studioeight.tv/phpbb
In the Jam Session Forum
http://studioeight.tv/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=22

Why?
Because the reason
for the season
is love and above all,
because you
have been called
to share your pen
and spin again
phrases to amaze,
daze and enlighten!

What?
Never been to a Word Jam? Word Jams are a series
of ongoing spontaneous writing events hosted by
Studio Eight dot TV

Could someone let me know if they got their email announcement for this event? I didn't get my copy and don't know whether the email went through. Thanks!

I got the message:

a tree full of crows
said "Let's be white for christmas"
I thought they said "write" or "right"
as they spoke with a lisp
as is common in ravenish

Then a little yellow bird
with a red spot on its head said,
"Would you rather write or BE right?"
and since i've always wanted to be
outrageously happy

I grabbed my quill pen
feathered my hair
and took flight
to studio 8
I'd rather be early than late.

:)

studio's always open
fresh canvas walls for those spontaneous wall frescoes
paint and pen forever at our behest

tea, coffee (and all the rest)

hey, david. good to see you.
